(BEIJING, July 18) -- The Workers' Indoor Arena, the venue for the boxing competitions of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, will be completed in August this year, according to constructors.

On July 17, the facility was opened to the press.

Located in Chaoyang District in eastern Beijing, it is one of the 11 Beijing-based venues to be renovated. Built in 1991, it was once among the largest sports facilities in China's capital. After renovation, it will have 13,000 seats, including 12,000 fixed seats and 1,000 mobile seats.
