(Beijing, November 17) The 51kg preliminaries of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Boxing Tournament was held at the Beijing Workers Stadium on November 17. China's Li Jinbao, the only boxer representing China in the 51kg class, defeated Norbert Kalucza of Hungary with a result of 36-16.

After the match, Li said the win came not as easy as it seemed to be. As he was not so familiar with his Hungarian opponent, he said, he had to adjust his techniques and tactics on the spot according to his coach's plans. As to the following matches, he said he would continue to seize the opportunities to learn from his opponents.

Talking of his coach shouting to him throughout the match, Li denied that the coach was helping him adjust his techniques and tactics, because he "could hardly hear anything" from his coach.

As one of the first boxers to compete at this venue for the 2008 Olympic Games, Li Jinbao said that he liked the environment here and the lighting was good. "It's the best venue I've ever seen and the spectators were very enthusiastic," he added.
