Tso Sing-Yu not depressed by early elimination
(Beijing, November 17) In the third 51kg preliminary match held on the opening day of the 2007 International Boxing Tournament, Tso Sing-Yu of Hong Kong China lost to Jitender Kumar of India 22-2. Due to the wide margin in the score the referee stopped the contest, thus the Indian boxer won by "referee stops contest."
After the match the Chinese Hong Kong boxer showed his gratitude by making bows to the spectators time and again. Obviously he was not so much depressed by his early elimination. Commenting on the match, Tso Sing-Yu's coach said it was Tso's first appearance in an official competition for adults.
Tso Sing-Yu told the media that was his first visit to the mainland and he felt good competing in this Olympic venue. As to his early defeat before four rounds he thought it was more important to come and be one of the competitors here.
