Turkish coach satisfied with O.Ayvaz's performance

(Beijing, November 18) After four rounds of hard fighting Okan Ayvaz of Turkey beat Hsieh Hang-Chen of Chinese Taipei 19-14 in the 60kg preliminaries this afternoon.

The match turned out to be a seesaw from the very beginning, with Okan Ayvaz gaining a slight lead of 4-3 after the first round. Soon Ayvaz enlarged his lead with 8-6 after the second round and 14-11 the third. The match ended 19-14 in favour of the Turkish boxer.

After the match, when Hsieh Hang-Chen of Chinese Taipei walked out of the venue he refused to make any comments on the match, looking depressed. Okan Ayvaz's coach was obvioulsy satisfied with his trainee's performance, saying that he had done exceptionally well today and they were both happy about the win.
