Kazakhstanian boxer grateful to cheering squad after quarterfinal win

(Beijing, November 19) Serik Yeleuov of Kazakhstan outlived his opponent in the 60kg quarterfinal of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Boxing Invitational Tournament at the Beijing Workers' Indoor Arena on November 19, the third day of the tournament.
Yeleuov didn't leave any opportunities to Okan Ayvaz of Turkey in the bout this afternoon as he cruised to the semi by a 24-8 commanding margin after 4 rounds.
Yeleuov said he didn't show his best in the match, adding that "I can fight better in the following matches and my goal is the champion of the category in the Olympic Games next year."
Also, Yeleuov appreciated the Kazakhstanian student spectators who cheered for him all along in the contest, saying "I'm pretty inspired by them and they are the drive to my success."
