(Beijing, November 21) Kazakhstanian boxer Serik Yeleuov and Sadam Ali of USA moved closer to the trophy of the 60kg category of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Boxing Invitational Tournament as both of them outlived their rivals this evening in the semis.

Facing Maxim Ignat'ev of Russia in the semifinal held first, Yeleuov set a commanding 23-7 cushion after two rounds and secured the success 34-20.

Later, Ali took on his counterpart from South Africa, Owethu Mbira, in the other semi. Ali gained his control of the contest in the second round, extending the lead to 16-7 after three and winning 26-10.

The final of the 60kg category will be held tomorrow.
