(Beijing, November 21) After his semifinal win of 24-20 over Kazakhstan's Rustam Rygebayev on the fifth day of the 2007 International Boxing Invitational Tournament, US boxer Michael Hunter said he had clinched the victory due to his anxiety to win.

After the first three rounds Rygebayev led 17-13, but Hunter managed to turn the table with 11-3 in the fourth round and edged his Kazakhstanian by a margin of four points.

After the match Hunter admitted he had met a formidable opponent today, and it was his anxiety for victory helped him make the final. "He wanted to knock me down, but I moved fast and checked his attacks with tight defense," he added.

Hunter's rival in the +91kg final tomorrow will be Denis Sergeev from Russia. "I've come here to win all my matches," said a confident Michael Hunter. "I know my Russia opponent is very strong, but I will do my utmost to win the gold medal."
