(Beijing, November 22) In today's 51kg category final of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Boxing Invitational Tournament at the Beijing Workers' Indoor Arena, Thailand's Chatchai Butdee defeated Mexican Braulio Avila with a slim advantage 18-17 to grab the gold medal. Avila led in the title-decider but finally lost the match due to some kind of emotional stress.

Avila led 4-2 in the first round and drew 9-9 with his Thai opponent in the second. In the third round, Butdee came from behind to put him in a passive position and went on to clinch the title by one point despite the counterattacks from Avila in the last round.

Commenting on his regrettable loss, Avila said: "It was a marathon-like match, lengthy and tough. I had some problems with my mentality when I led in the first round." "I know Butdee is a smart and hard-working guy," added Avila. "It's a pity I lost to him today by such a narrow margin. I think I can beat him next time when we meet again."
