(Beijing, November 22) Russian boxer Denis Sergeev won the +91kg gold of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Boxing Invitational Tournament by beating Michael Hunter of USA today at the Beijing Workers' Indoor Arena.

Hunter led the first round 4-3, but Sergeev rallied to exceed at 8-6 after the second and 12-10 after the third. They leveled at 16-16 in the middle of the last round and it was Sergeev who moved quickly and punched more actively winning 21-18.

Commenting on his win, Sergeev said "I was faster and more vigorous than my rival during the match."

He also appreciated the spectators at the scene and added "I hope to win the gold of this category in the Beijing Olympic Games next year."
